A Raven's Haven - Copper

Copper has been used for jewelry as early as the 8th Century B.C. Traded throughout the world from Greece, to Ancient Egypt to the First Nations. Traded as a symbol of wealth and status the healing and spiritual properties of copper have long been known for relieving some wearers of circulatory issues and arthritis. The macro-nutrients and antibacterial properties of copper have been beneficial in treating water as early as 2000 B.C. Early Norse would trade bracelets of copper as a sign of protection and oaths, an honor to men and women alike. It is said that today's wedding bands are a modern interpretation of this practice.
